RESOLUTION NO. 2009-081
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT
OF $944 FOR "IN KIND" SERVICE ASSISTANCE.
WHEREAS, Special Olympics has requested "in kind" service assistance for
Enforcement Torch Run on 6-3-09; and
WHEREAS, staff determined the Public Works-Engineering services necessary
with the Law Enforcement Torch Run; and
the Law
to assist
WHEREAS, staff determined the cost of providing the Public Works-Engineering
services for the Law Enforcement Torch Run is $150.
WHEREAS, staff determined the Police Department services necessary to assist with
the Law Enforcement Torch Run; and
WHEREAS, staff determined the cost of providing the Police Department services for the
Law Enforcement Torch Run is $794.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, as
follows:
1 . That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council elects to appropriate the funds requested.
3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate $944
Council's Contingency Account balance to cover the costs of providing services to
Olympics for the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 5th day of May, 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
