1 RESOLUTION NO. 2009-149
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
3 AND APPROPRIATING A DONATION TO THE
4 CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY
5 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Lions Club has donated $1,000 to the City of
6 Carlsbad for the Carlsbad City Library, and;
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Lions Club has specified the donation be used to
purchase materials for the visually and hearing impaired;
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad, California, as follows:

11 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
12 2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $1,000 from the Carlsbad Lions
13 Club, on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby authorizes the
14 Finance Director to appropriate these funds to the Library's budget.
