RESOLUTION NO. 2009-151

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION IN
FISCAL YEAR 2008-09 FOR A PARK MEMORIAL BENCH
4 AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS.
5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Public Works Parks Maintenance Department
6 administers a Parks Memorial Bench/Tree Program; and
7 WHEREAS, Ms. Raheela Bokhari donated $850, in Fiscal Year 2008-09, to the City of
8 Carlsbad for the express purpose of purchasing park memorial benches; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this donation, totaling $850.
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
12 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
13 2. That the City Council accepts the donation in Fiscal Year 2008-09 from Ms.
14 Bokhari, totaling $850, on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad.
15 3. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate $850 to the Parks and
1 fi Recreation-Parks Maintenance Operating Budget.17 //
