WHEREAS, Section 5.20.030 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code requires that

taxicab operators working in the City of Carlsbad maintain minimum limits of automobile

liability insurance; and

WHEREAS, Section 5.20.030 requires that such insurance must comply withy

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, CHANGING THE MINIMUM
LIMITS OF LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR TAXICABS
minimum coverage limits as established by resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the current coverage limits required
should be changed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
14 Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. The minimum amount of liability insurance for taxicabs in the City of
Carlsbad shall be not less than $1 million > combined single limit for
bodily injury and property damage.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 15th day of September, 2009, by the following vote to wit:
