2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVAL OF PLANS AND
3 SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE GRADING OF ALGA NORTE, COMMUNITY
4 PARK, PROJECT NO. 3837.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
6
necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to grade Alga Norte Community Park; and
7
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
8
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the Alga Norte
9
Community Park, Project No. 3837, have been prepared and are on file in the Public Works-
10
Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and
11
WHEREAS, funding for said project has been appropriated from the Public Facilities
Fees (PFF) Fund and General Capital Construction (GCC) Fund to cover all project costs and is

sufficient.14
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

California, as follows:16
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the Alga Norte18
Community Park, Project No. 3837 are on file in the Public Works-Engineering Department of thei y
2Q City of Carlsbad and are hereby approved.
21 3. Not having ordered otherwise and it being not appropriate to do so, prevailing
22 wages are not required for the construction of Alga Norte Community Park, Project No. 3837, in
23 accordance with Carlsbad Municipal Code Section 3.28.130.
24 4. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
25 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the grading of Alga
2g Norte Community Park, Project No. 3837, in accordance with the plans, specifications, and
27 contract documents referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 6th day of October. 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Lewis.
