RESOLUTION NO. 2009-257
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT
OF BIDS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE ENCINAS
CREEK BRIDGE. PROJECT NO. 3919 _

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has appropriated funds

for the reconstruction of the Encinas Creek Bridge, Project Number 3919; and
7
WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared to initiate said bridge
8
reconstruction; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to proceed with the
10
solicitation of bids to construct said project.11
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

California, as follows:13
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans and specifications for the reconstruction of the Encinas Creek
Bridge, Project Number 3919 are on file in the office of the City of Carlsbad's Public Works
Engineering Department and are hereby approved.
3. That the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad, California, is authorized and directed
to publish in accordance with State Law a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for said project in
accordance with the plans and specifications referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 20^ day of October. 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
