3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
4 2009-10 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR
THE SRO PROGRAM BETWEEN THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD AND THE SAN DIEGUITO UNIFIED
6 SCHOOL DISTRICT

8 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has agreed to provide the San Dieguito
9 Unified School District with the School Resource Officer ("SRO") Program for the
school year of 2009-10; and
11
WHEREAS, the San Dieguito Unified School District has agreed to pay for
13 one-half the cost of the SRO Program.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
15 Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the Memorandum of Understanding for the SRO Program between18
1Q the City of Carlsbad and the San Dieguito Unified School District is hereby
20 approved.
21 3. That the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed
22 to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Carlsbad, California.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 3rd day of November. 2009, by the following vote
to wit:
AYES: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard, and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
