2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
3 SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
FOR THE CORRUGATED METAL PIPE REPLACEMENT
4 PROGRAM - STATE STREET AND OAK AVENUE, PROJECT NO.
6607.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it

necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP)
Replacement Program - State Street and Oak Avenue; and

WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
9
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the CMP Replacement
10
Program - State Street and Oak Avenue, Project No. 6607, have been prepared and are on file in11
the Public Works-Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by
reference; and13
WHEREAS, funding for said project has been appropriated from the Infrastructure14
Replacement Fund (IRF) to cover all project costs and is sufficient.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,16
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.1o
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the CMP Replacement

»n Program - State Street and Oak Avenue, Project No. 6607 are on file in the Public Works-
21 Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and are hereby approved.
22 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
23 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the CMP
24 Replacement Program - State Street and Oak Avenue, Project No. 6607, in accordance with the
25 plans, specifications, and contract documents referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 10th day of November. 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Member Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard, and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
