A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE 2010-2011 CDBG/HOME PROGRAM
FUNDING PLAN AND AUTHORIZING THE DISTRIBUTION OF A REQUEST
FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE 2010-2011 CDBG/HOME PROGRAM.
5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, California, is entitled to a new allocation of Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban
6 Development (HUD) for fiscal year 2010-2011; and,
7 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, California is entitled to an allocation of HOME
Investment Partnership (HOME) funds for the fiscal year 2010-2011 as a member of the San
Diego County HOME Consortium; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad held a public hearing to obtain
comments on the 2020-2011 CDBG/HOME Funding Plan and to consider approving the
10 distribution of a "Request for Proposals" for the 2010-2011 CDBG/HOME Program; and,
11 WHEREAS, the City Council has taken all testimony into account.
12 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
13 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
14 2. That the City Council approves the 2010-2011 CDBG/HOME Funding Plan, required
by federal regulations, for Carlsbad's CDBG/HOME Program.

3. That staff of the Housing and Redevelopment Department is authorized to distribute
16 a "Request for Proposals" for the City of Carlsbad's 2010-2011 CDBG/HOME
Program.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 10th day of November. 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Member Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard, and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
