2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM
3 THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY AND APPROPRIATING THE
RECEIVED FUNDS

WHEREAS, the Friends of the Carlsbad Library have donated $1400 to the
, Library in support of the Carlsbad Reads Together Program for 2010; and
7 WHEREAS, the fund will be used to purchase additional copies of the book and
8 various formats;
9 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
10 California, as follows:
11 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $1400 from the Friends of the13
Carlsbad Library on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and authorizes the
Finance Director to appropriate the received funds to the Library budget.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 8th day of December. 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
