2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A
3 DONATION FROM THE CARLSBAD LIBRARY AND
ARTS FOUNDATION FOR THE LIBRARY
4 LEARNING CENTER

WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Council accepted the proposal from the
c
Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation to initiate a capital campaign for the purpose of
7 reimbursing City funds used for the Library Learning Center project, and;
8 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation has presented the
9 second payment in the amount of $50,000 towards that commitment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
^ Carlsbad, California, as follows:
12 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
13 2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $50,000 from the Carlsbad
14
Library and Arts Foundation, on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and
15
authorizes the Finance Director to deposit this donation into the General
16
Capital Construction Fund.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 22nd day of December, 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Packard.
