A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
4 ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
COLLEGE BOULEVARD OVERLAY PROJECT NO. 6001-10-OL.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it
6
necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to rehabilitate various roadways as part of the
7
City's ongoing Pavement Management Program; and
8
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
9
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the College Boulevard
10
Overlay, Project No. 6001-10-OL, have been prepared and are on file in the Transportation
Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)

per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(c); and14
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Pavement Management Program15
account number 6001 in order to complete this project; and16
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:1o
1. That the above recitations are true and correct,i y
2Q 2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents for the College Boulevard
21 Overlay, Project No. 6001-10-OL, on file in the Transportation Department of the City of Carlsbad
22 are hereby approved.
23 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
24 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
25 the College Boulevard Overlay, Project No. 6001-10-OL, in accordance with the plans,
25 specifications, and contract documents referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 23rd day of March, 2010, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
