2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTANCE OF IN-
3 KIND DONATIONS OF $700 FROM THE LA COSTA
4 YOUTH ORGANIZATION.

WHEREAS, on February 16, 2010, the La Costa Youth Organization donated
6
in-kind shade cloth material and the installation over each dugout to the athletic fields at
7
Stagecoach Community Park; and
o
„ WHEREAS, the cloth will provide additional shade, comfort, and protection from
harmful UV rays for the benefit of all athletic field users; and
11 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad wishes to accept the in-kind donations totaling
12 $700 in support of the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and support
14 of the La Costa Youth Organization; and
WHEREAS, on March 15, 2010, the Parks and Recreation Commission received
16
in-kind materials and services totaling $700 and recommends acceptance by the City
17
Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
2Q Carlsbad, California, as follows:
21 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
22 2. That the City Council does hereby accept $700 of in-kind donations.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 6th day of April. 2010, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Hall.
