2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION
3 FROM POSEIDON RESOURCES CORPORATION TO THE
4 CARLSBAD CITYSTUFF PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING
THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO APPROPRIATE SAID
5 FUNDS UPON RECEIPT.

WHEREAS, Poseidon Resources Corporation has made a generous contribution

of $2,000 to the Carlsbad CityStuff program for the cost of printing the "When Carlsbad8
Became a City" books to be used by the students participating in the CityStuff program.

11 WHEREAS, Carlsbad third-graders will learn a great deal about government and
12 the issues important to governing at a local level; and
13
14 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad wishes to accept the donation to the Carlsbad
CityStuff program and appropriate the received funds for the CityStuff Program;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad, California, as follows:
20 1 • That the above recitations are true and correct.
21 2. That the City Council accepts the donation from Poseidon Resources
22 Corporation on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby authorizes the
23 Finance Director to appropriate received funds for the CityStuff program.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 22nd day of June, 2010, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Packard.
