RESOLUTION NO. 2010-144
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION
3 FROM TOYOTA CARLSBAD AND LEXUS CARLSBAD
4 FOR THE CARLSBAD CITYSTUFF PROGRAM AND
APPROPRIATING THE RECEIVED FUNDS.

WHEREAS, Toyota Carlsbad and Lexus Carlsbad have made a generous
7
contribution of $1,400 to the Carlsbad CityStuff program for the cost of printing the8
9 "When Carlsbad Became a City" books to be used by the students participating in the
10 CityStuff program.

12 WHEREAS, Carlsbad third-graders will learn a great deal about government and
13 the issues important to governing at a local level; and
14
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad wishes to accept the donation for the Carlsbad
16
CityStuff program and appropriate the received funds;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
20 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
21 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
22 2. That the City Council accepts the donation from Toyota Carlsbad and Lexus
21 Carlsbad on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates the
24 received funds for use in the CityStuff program.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 22nd day of June, 2010, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Packard.
