A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING CASH DONATION IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,000 IN SUPPORT OF THE PARKS & RECREATION
4 DEPARTMENT OPPORTUNITY GRANT FUND
WHEREAS, the California State Senior Olympics were held at Poinsettia Park
6 from June 1 - June 4, 2010; and

WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to acknowledge the generosity and
8
support towards the Park & Recreation Department Opportunity Grant Fund from the
9
Pasadena Senior Center and the North County Picklers; and
,j WHEREAS, on June 21, 2010 the Parks & Recreation Commission received a
12 cash donation in the amount of $1,000 and recommended acceptance by the City
13 Council.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
15 Carlsbad, California, the following:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the City Council does hereby accepting $1,000 in cash donation in
18
support of the Opportunity Grant Fund.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 27th day of July, 2010, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
