2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A
3 DONATION FROM THE CARLSBAD LIBRARY AND
ARTS FOUNDATION AND APPROPRIATING THE
4 FUNDS
5 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation has generously donated
6
$59,000 to the Carlsbad City Library from the Robert H. Gartner Endowment Fund;

WHEREAS, the donation will enhance cultural programming during FY2010-11
in the Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium at the Carlsbad City Library as specified in the
conditions of the Robert H. Gartner bequest;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
13 Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.15
2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $59,000 from the Carlsbad
Library and Arts Foundation and hereby authorizes the Finance Director to
appropriate the received funds to the Library budget.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 24th day of August, 2010, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
