CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING INTERM
3 TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS ON LA COSTA
4 AVENUE BETWEEN EL CAMINO REAL AND RANCHO
SANTA FERQAD

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad had determined it necessary,
6
desirable, and in the public interest to install warning signs and speed feedback signs
7
on La Costa Avenue between El Camino Real and Rancho Santa Fe Road; and8
WHEREAS, an interim striping plan for La Costa Avenue is scheduled to be
10 prepared as part of the La Costa Avenue Improvement Plan; and
WHEREAS, the interim striping plan for La Costa Avenue will be presented to the
12 City Council for approval as soon as practicable.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
14 Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby approves the interim
10 , traffic safety improvements on La Costa Avenue between El Camino Reallo
19 and Rancho Santa Fe Road and directs the city manager to return with a
20 proposed striping plan by June 7, 2011 or as soon as practicable thereafter.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 22nd day of March 2011, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Hall, Blackburn, Packard.
NOES: Council Members Kulchin, Douglas.
ABSENT: None.
