2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM
3 THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL ROSE SOCIETY OF
VOLUNTEER HOURS AND MATERIALS CONTRIBUTIONS

5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Department is committed to
6 building strong community through service organizations such as the California Coastal Rose
7 Society, and
8 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Department wishes to
9 acknowledge the talented volunteers from the California Coastal Rose Society, and
10 WHEREAS, on May 16, 2011 the Parks and Recreation Commission accepted the
donation of in-kind volunteer hours and material contributions from California Coastal Rose
12 Society totaling $4,197, and
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
15 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
16 2. That the City Council does hereby accept this donation of in-kind volunteer hours
17 and material contributions valued at $4,197 from the California Coastal Rose Society
18 at Magee Park, during calendar year 2010, on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad.
