2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
3 ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION FROM THE FRIENDS
OF THE CARLSBAD LIBRARY AND AUTHORIZING
THE APPROPRIATION OF THE RECEIVED FUNDS

6 WHEREAS, the Friends of the Carlsbad City Library have made two $500
7 donations to the Library in memory of Tony Carter and Jean Traynor, two of their
long-time members who recently passed away, and

WHEREAS, the donated funds will be used to purchase items for the Library's
10 collection;

12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
13 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $1,000 from the Friends of16
the Carlsbad Library on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and authorizes
18 the Finance Director to appropriate the received funds to the Library
19 budget.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 7th day of June 2011, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas, Packard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
