2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING DONATIONS
3 TOTALING $5,250 IN SUPPORT OF THE CARLSBAD
4 SENIOR CENTER AND APPROPRIATION OF RECEIVED
FUNDS.

WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Senior Citizens Association, the Friday afternoon
7
bridge group and the Lumina Foundation for Education have made donations in support
8
of the Carlsbad Senior Center; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept these cash donations in the
10
amount of $5,250 in support of the Senior Center;
11
WHEREAS, on January 6, 2011 the Senior Commission recommended
12
acceptance of the donations totaling $5,250 by the City Council.
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
14
Carlsbad, California as follows:
15
16 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
17 2. That the City Council does hereby accept $5,250 in cash donations.
18 3. That the City Council authorizes the finance director to appropriate the
19 $5,250 to the Senior Center Special Revenue account.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 7th day of June 2011, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas, Packard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
