RESOLUTION NO. 2011-132
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CITY'S CALPERS
EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTION FOR
EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY THE CARLSBAD CITY
EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has the authority to implement
Government Code Section 20691;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has a written agreement with the
Carlsbad City Employees' Association (CCEA) which specifically provides for a portion of the
normal member contributions to be paid by the City;
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to modify its agreement with the CCEA to decrease
the Employer Paid Member Contribution (EPMC); and
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified the conditions described below for reduction
of the EPMC.
• This benefit shall apply to all employees in the following employee group and this
benefit shall consist of the City paying the related percentage of the normal member
contributions as EPMC as noted:
Employee Group
1 . Carlsbad City Employees' Association
2. Carlsbad City Employees' Association

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council wishes to comply with Section 20691 by adopting this
resolution.
3. That the City Council elects to pay Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC), as
set forth above.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 21st day of June 2011, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas, Packard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
