2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
3 ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION TO THE CARLSBAD
4 LIBRARY AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION
OF THE RECEIVED FUNDS

6 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library has received a $5,000 donation from
7 Carlsbad resident and Friends of the Carlsbad City Library Vice President Linda
8 Sarnowsky; and
g WHEREAS, Ms. Sarnowsky has requested these funds be used to augment

the Library's collection budget specifically for the purchase of fiction material;
11
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of12
13 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2. That the City Council accepts the generous donation of $5,000 from Ms.
16 Sarnowsky behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and authorizes the Finance
17
Director to appropriate the received funds to the Library budget.

1 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
2 of the City of Carlsbad on the 23rd day of August 2011, by the following vote to wit:
