2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD. CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
3 ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE 2012 CONCRETE
REPLACEMENT PROJECT NOS. 6013 & 6021.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cartsbad, California, has determined it
necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to replace damaged concrete in accordance with
the City of Cartsbad's ongoing Concrete Replacement Program; and
WHEREAS, the contract and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the 2012 Concrete
Replacement Project Nos. 6013 & 6021, have been prepared and are on file in the Transportation
Department of the City of Cartsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(c); and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available for completion ofthe concrete repairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the specifications and contract documents for the 2012 Concrete
Replacement Project Nos. 6013 & 6021 are on file in the Transportation Department of the City of
Carlsbad and are hereby approved.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authonzed and directed to
publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
the 2012 Concrete Replacement Project Nos. 6013 & 6021, in accordance with the specifications
and contract documents referred to herein.
