2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A CASH
DONATION OF $500 IN SUPPORT OF THE CARLSBAD
4 PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT OPPORTUNITY
GRANT PROGRAM AND APPROPRIATION OF RECEIVED
5 FUNDS.

^ WHEREAS, the La Costa Youth Organization donated $500 in support of the
Parks & Recreation Department Opportunity Grant program; and
o
g WHEREAS, the generous donation was made as a gesture of gratitude for the
10 Parks & Recreation Department staffs completion of fence extension project at La
11 Costa Meadows/El Fuerte (North) athletic field; and,
12 WHEREAS, on January 30, 2012, the Parks and Recreation Commission
13 recommended City Council acceptance of the donation totaling $500.

19 2. That the City Council does hereby accept $500 in cash donations.
3. That the City Council authorizes the finance director to appropriate the
$500 upon receipt to the Opportunity Grant fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carisbad, California, as follows that:
