1 RESOLUTION NO. 2012-049
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
^ ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION TO THE CARLSBAD
LIBRARY AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION
OF THE RECEIVED FUNDS
6 WHEREAS, the Carisbad City Library has received a $5,000 donation from
7 Carisbad resident and Friends of the Carisbad City Library Vice President Linda
® Sarnowsky; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Sarnowsky has requested these funds be used to augment

the Library's collection budget specifically for the purchase of fiction material;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
.|2 Carisbad, California, as follows
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the City Council accepts the generous donation of $5,000 from Ms.
Sarnowsky on behalf of all citizens of Carisbad, and authorizes the
Finance Director to appropriate the received funds to the Library budget.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council
of the City of Carisbad on the 13^^ day of March, 2012, by the following vote to wit:
