RESOLUTION NO.2012-138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
DONATIONS IN FISCAL YEAR 2011-12, TOTALING
$2,300, FOR PARKS MEMORIAL BENCHES AND
TREES. AND APPROPRIATING RECEIVED FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Department administers a parks
memorial bench and tree program; and
WHEREAS, Sally Ann Zullinger, Bonnie Dominguez, and Mike Parelow donated
$1250, $850, and $200, respectively, in Fiscal Year 2011-12, to the City of Carlsbad for
the purpose of purchasing a memorial bench and/or a memorial tree; and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 2012, the Parks and Recreation Commission
unanimously recommended the City Council accept these donations totaling $2,300, and
WHEREAS, the city council wishes to accept these donations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the city council accepts the donations in Fiscal Year 2011-12, totaling
$2,300, on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad.
3. That the finance director is authorized to appropriate the $2,300 to the
pa ks and recreation-parks maintenance operating budget.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
