2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
3 ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SIDEWALK/STREET
CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM - LINCOLN ST AND PINE AVE
4 PROJECT NO. 6002.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carisbad, California, has determined it
6 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct missing sidewalk, curb and gutter, and
7 pedestrian ramps in accordance with the city's ongoing Sidewalk/Street Construction Program;
8 and
9 WHEREAS, the contract and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
10 equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the Sidewalk/Street
11 Construction Program - Lincoln St and Pine Ave Project No. 6002, have been prepared and are on
12 file in the Transportation Department of the City of Carisbad and are incorporated herein by
13 reference; and
14 WHEREAS, the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
15 per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (c); and
16 WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available for completion of the project.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
18 California, as follows:
19 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
20 2. That the specifications and contract documents for the Sidewalk/Street
21 Construction Program - Lincoln St and Pine Ave Project No. 6002 are on file in the Transportation
22 Department of the City of Carisbad and are hereby approved.
23 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carisbad is hereby authorized and directed to
24 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
25 the Sidewalk/Street Construction Program - Lincoln St and Pine Ave Project No. 6002, in
26 accordance with the specifications and contract documents referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 10*^ day of July, 2012, by the following vote to wit:

Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
None.
ABSENT: None.
