2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
3 ACCEPTING AN AWARD FROM THE
CALIFORNIA LIBRARY LITERACY SERVICES

5 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Literacy Services provides training
6 to meet the literacy needs of adults; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library Literacy Services supports the goals of
the City Council and the objectives of the Library; and
WHEREAS, the California Library Literacy Services will provide additional
support for the literacy program with an award of funds in the amount of $35,852.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
13 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the award in the amount of $35,852.00 from
the California Library Literacy Services and authorizes the Finance Director
to appropriate the received funds to the Library & Cultural Arts budget.
