2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING OUT-OF-
^ STATE TRAVEL FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT STAFF TO
4 ATTEND THE MICROSOFT MANAGEMENT SUMMIT IN
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

6 WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to
y authorize out-of-state travel for police department IT staff to attend a five-day
training conference for information technology staff working with Microsoft
products; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 2012-13 Police Department
budget for the out-of-state travel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows that:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.

15 2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized in accordance with City policy
16 for one member of the police department to attend the Microsoft Management
Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 8 -12, 2013.
