1 RESOLUTION NO. 2013-033
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING
3 THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION FROM THE
4 CARLSBAD FRIENDS OF THE ARTS

6 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts have generously offered to donate
7 $15,000, which was raised through the sale of advertisements in the 2012 TGIF
8 Souvenir Program, to the City of Cartsbad's Library & Cultural Arts department for the
TGIF Jazz in the Parks concert series; and
WHEREAS, acceptance of this donation will provide partial funding for the TGIF
Jazz in the Parks concert series, which is regularly funded, in part, by donations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Cartsbad, California, as follows:

15 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
16 2. That the City Council accepts the donation of $15,000 from the Carlsbad
1^ Friends of the Arts for the TGIF Jazz in the Pari<s concert series.
3. That the City Council acknowledges the donation with an appropriate letter of
thanks.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council
ofthe City of Carlsbad on the 12*^ day of February, 2013, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Hall, Packard, Wood, Blackburn and Douglas.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
