2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CAUFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION TO
THE CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY AND AUTHORIZING THE 3
4 APPROPRIATION OF THE RECEIVED FUNDS

WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Library has received a $5,000 donation from Carlsbad
resident and Friends ofthe Carlsbad City Library Vice President Linda Sarnowsky; and
8 WHEREAS, Ms. Sarnowsky has requested these funds be used to augment the Library's
^ collection budget specifically for the purchase of fiction material;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

California, as follows that:

1. The above recitations are true and correct.
14 2. That the City Council accepts the generous donation of $5,000 from Ms. Sarnowsky
15 on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and authorizes the Finance Director to
16
appropriate the received funds to the Library &Cultural Arts budget.
