2 A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING OUT-OF-
^ STATE TRAVEL FOR THE PARKS AND RECREATION
DIRECTOR TO ATTEND THE TRANSFORMING LOCAL
GOVERNMENT ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN ATLANTA,
GEORGIA

WHEREAS, the City Council concurs it is in the public interest to authorize out-
of-state travel for the Parks & Recreation Director to attend the Transforming Local
Government Annual Conference in Atlanta Georgia Apnl 9-12, 2013; and,
WHEREAS, the cost to attend the conference is estimated at $2,000 which
11 includes travel, lodging, registration and meals; and,
12 WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 2012-2013 Parks & Recreation
1^ Department budget for the registration and travel expenses; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That permission is granted to the Parks & Recreation Director to attend the
j9 Transforming Local Government Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia Apnl 9 -
20 12,2013.
