A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTH BATIQUITOS LIFT STATION
4 FORCE MAIN EMERGENCY REPAIR, PROJECT NO. 1007-1 AS
COMPLETE, AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO RECORD
5 A NOTICE OF COMPLETION AND RELEASE BONDS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH STATE LAW AND CITY ORDINANCES.

7 WHEREAS, the construction of the North Batiquitos Lift Station Force Main Emergency
8 Repair, Project No. 1007-1, has been substantially completed to the City's satisfaction by Piperin
9 Corporation, on November 21, 2012; and
10 WHEREAS, final contract requirements were met and the final change order executed
11 on December 13, 2012; and
'12 WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
''2 WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the North Batiquitos Lift Station Force Main Emergency Repair
is deemed complete and is hereby accepted by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute and
record the Notice of Completion for the North Batiquitos Lift Station Force Main Emergency
Repair, Project No. 1007-1.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad on the 30*" day of April, 2013, by the following vote to wit:

Council Members Hall, Packard, Wood, Blackburn and Douglas.
