2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING
A DONATION TO THE CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, the San Diego North County Lions Club has donated $1,000 to the City of
Carlsbad for the Carlsbad City Library, and;
y WHEREAS, the donation from the Lions Club allows the Library to increase the
8 acquisitions budget for the purchase of materials specifically for the sight and hearing impaired.
^ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows that:

1. The above recitations are true and correct.

13 2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $1,000 from the San Diego North County
14 Lions Club, on behalf of all residents of Carlsbad, and hereby authorizes the Finance
1 ^ Director to appropriate the received funds to the Library's budget.
