2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A LOCAL ASSISTANCE GRANT AWARD
FROM THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE
4 (CDFW), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO THE
GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN CDFW AND THE CITY, AND
5 DIRECTING THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR TO
APPROPRIATE THE GRANT FUNDS

WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to study wildlife corridor movement through the
Habitat Management Plan preserve system; and

WHEREAS, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has offered grant funding from
11 their Local Assistance Grant program to help defray the cost of the wildlife corridor movement
12 study; and
13
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad wishes to accept the grant.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
15
California, as follows that:

17 1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the Local Assistance Grant award from the CDFW in the
amount of $57,900 for the wildlife corridor movement study.
3. That the city manager is authorized to enter into the Grant Agreement and
associated grant documents with CDFW.

23 4. That the administrative services director is authorized to appropriate the $57,900
24 grant to be used for the Wildlife Movement Analysis for the City of Carlsbad HMP
Preserve. 25
