1 RESOLUTION NO. 2013-120
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR
COASTAL RAIL TRAILS REACH 1, PROJECT NO. 3455

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it

^ necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the Coastal Rail Trail Reach 1
g Project No. 3455; and
9 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has received an Active Transportation Grant in the
amount of $800,000 from SANDAG; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has entered into a grant agreement with SANDAG; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient Gas Tax Funds to complete the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Carlsbad,

16 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The Administrative Services Director of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized to

22 appropriate Gas Tax Funds in the amount of $749,000 for construction of the Coastal Rail Trail
23 Reach 1 Project No. 3455.

appropriate Gas Tax Funds in the amount of $800,000 for the SANDAG Active Transportation
Grant which will be reimbursed per the grant agreement with SANDAG.
3. The Administrative Services Director of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized to

of Carlsbad on the 28th day of May 2013, by the following vote to wit:
