1 RESOLUTION NO. 2013-132
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF THE
CARLSBAD SAFETY TRAINING CENTER, AND DELEGATING
4 SIGNATURE AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Safety Training Center opened in summer 2012; and

y WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Safety Training Center provides a broad spectrum of training
8 opportunities to the city's first responders, including police, fire and public works staff; and
WHEREAS, the facility has limited capacity to accommodate training activities for other
federal, state and local public safety agencies and programs; and
WHEREAS, agencies wishing to rent the facility will enter into an Agreement for Use that
is valid for five years, and serves as a master agreement between the city and the renting

20 2. The City Council approves the Agreement for Use of the Carlsbad Safety Training
21 Center; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows that:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
3. Signature authority is delegated to the City Manager or designee.
