2 A RESOLUTtON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CtTY OF CARLSBAD, CAUFORNIA,
APPROVING THE ADDITION OF A SENIOR APPUCATIONS ANALYST POSITION IN
THE POUCE DEPARTMENT

5 WHEREAS, the Police Department is implementing a new Computer Aided Dispatch
^ system, a Records Management System (RMS), and a predictive policing program as part ofthe

City of CaHsbad's investment in technotogy; and
8
WHEREAS, current staff is fully utilized maintaining existing systems, providing routine
9
maintenance, resolving problems, and working on hardware and software upgrades; and
11 WHEREAS, in order to property support existing technotogy and to implement the new
12 systems, the Police Department is requesting an increase in FTE by one position, creating a new
Senior Applications Analyst; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of CaHsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

18 2. That the City Council of the City of CaHsbad approves the addition of a Senior
1^ Applications Analyst in the Police Department.
3. That the Administrative Services Director is authorized to appropriate $143,108 for
the position.
