CAUFORNIA, ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING GRANT FUNDS TO
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT FROM SAN DIEGO GAS AND ELECTRIC FOR
4 COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM

WHEREAS, Carlsbad Fire Department is eligible to receive a San Diego Gas and Electric

J (SDG&E) Safe San Diego Initiative grant for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
program; and
^ WHEREAS, on July 23, 2013 Council authorized and thereafter the Fire Department
applied for the SDG&E Safe San Diego Initiative CERT grant in the amount of $2,500 and SDG&E
has approved the Fire Department grant request; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,

15 1. The above recitations are true and correct.

29 4. The Administrative Services Director is authorized to appropriate the $2,500
20 SDG&E CERT grant funds to the Fire Department Emergency Preparedness CERT

2. The SDG&E grant funds require no matching funds.
3. The Council authorizes the receipt of grant funds.
