3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
4 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE 2013-14 MEMORANDUM
5 OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE SRO PROGRAM BETWEEN THE CITY
6 OF CARLSBAD AND THE CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

^ WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad agreed to provide the Cartsbad Unified School
9
District with the School Resource Officer ("SRO") Program for the school year of 2013-14;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cartsbad,

12 WHEREAS, the Cartsbad Unified School Distnct has agreed to pay for one-half the
cost of a full-time officer for the nine-months ofthe SRO Program.

2. That the Memorandum of Understanding for the SRO Program between the
City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Unified School District is hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor of the City of Cartsbad is hereby authonzed and directed to

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City
of Cartsbad on the 19*^ day of November, 2013, by the foiiowing vote to wit:
