2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
^ TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
4 MUNISERVICES, A LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY, TO
PERFORM SALES AND USE TAX. AUDITING, ANALYSIS
5 AND REPORTING SERVICES

WHEREAS, the auditing and analysis of the State Board of Equalization records

^ pertaining to the ascertainment of the sales or transacfion and use taxes to be collected
g on the city's behalf is key in maintaining the city's fiscal integrity; and
10 WHEREAS, proposals from two firms qualified to perform such services were
11 evaluated; and
12 WHEREAS, staff believes that MuniServices, LLC (MuniServices) is the best
13 value in providing sales tax audit, analysis and reporting services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. The firm of MuniServices is selected to provide the auditing, analysis and
j9 reporting services.
20 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement (Exhibit 3)
21 between MuniServices and the City of Carlsbad.
