2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CAUFORNIA, APPROVING THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND
3 SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE
FOR BIDS FOR THE 2014 CONCRETE REPLACEMENT PROJECT NO.
6013-14. 4

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it

^ necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to replace damaged concrete in accordance with
g the City's ongoing Concrete Replacement Program; and
9 WHEREAS, the contract and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools,
10 equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the 2014 Concrete
Replacement Project No. 6013-14, have been prepared and are on file in the Public Works

Department of the City of Carlsbad and are incorporated herein by reference; and

WHEREAS, the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
15 per CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(c); and
16 WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available for completion ofthe concrete repairs.
1*7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of CaHsbad,

California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the contract documents and specifications for the 2014 Concrete
21
22 Replacement Project No. 6013-14 are on file in the Public Works Department of the City of
23 CaHsbad and are hereby approved.
24 3. The City Clerk of the City of CaHsbad is hereby authorized and directed to
25 publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
26
the 2014 Concrete Replacement Project No. 6013-14, in accordance with the specifications
27
and contract documents referred to herein.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City
of Carlsbad on the 22"'' day of April, 2014, by the following vote to wit:

NOES:
Council Members Packard, Wood, Schumacher and Blackburn.
None.
ABSENT: Council Member Hall.
