2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE, IN THE NAME OF THE CITY OF
4 CARLSBAD, ALL NECESSARY FORMS FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING
5 FEDERAL STATE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT
PROGRAM FUNDS TO ENHANCE FIRE, POLICE AND
6 EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS.

WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Fire and Police Departments are eligible to

g receive federal grant funds through the FY 2013 State Homeland Security Grant
IQ Program (SHSG) for emergency preparedness.
11 WHEREAS, the total amount of the grant is $71,062.
12 WHEREAS, the Fire Department will be administering the SHSGP grant funds on
13 behalf of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The SHSGP grant funds require no matching funds. Since all grant-related
19 purchases and planning costs are 100% reimbursable, the City shall incur no
20 costs.
21 3. That Council authorizes the receipt of grant funds.

4. The Administrative Services Director is authorized to appropriate funds
totaling $71,062 to the Public Safety Grants Special Revenue Fund.
5. That the City Manager is authorized to execute any and all documentation
