3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE 2015-2016 CDBG/HOME PROGRAM
4 FUNDING PLAN AND AUTHORIZING THE DISTRIBUTION OF A
^ REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE 2015-2016 CDBG PROGRAM
g The City Council ofthe City ofCarlsbad, California, does hereby resolve as follows:
7 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, California, anticipates it will receive a new
8 allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for fiscal year 2015-2016; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad held a public hearing to obtain
comments on the 2015-2016 CDBG Funding Plan and to consider approving the distribution of a
"Request for Proposals" for the 2015-2016 CDBG Program; and

^4 WHEREAS, the City Council has taken all testimony into account.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
16 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council approves the 2015-2016 CDBG Funding Plan, required
by federal regulations, for Carlsbad's CDBG Program. The Carlsbad City Council authorizes the
City Manager to execute all appropriate documents needed to provide the contribution with

22 prior approval of the City Attorney
23 3. That the Director ofthe Housing and Neighborhood Services Department
24 is authorized to distribute a "Request for Proposals" for the City of Carlsbad's 2015-2016 CDBG

Program and accept and process applications for funding and review by the Citizen's Advisory
26
Committee

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council ofthe City
of Carlsbad on the 18th day of November 2014, by the following vote to wit:
