HomeMy WebLinkAbout2014-11-18; City Council; Resolution 2014-26523 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has determined it necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct the Northwest Quadrant Storm Drain Improvement Program, Village Decorative Lighting, and Street Lighting District 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2014-265 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, 3 CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE TO RECEIVE BIDS 4 AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE NORTHWEST QUADRANT STORM IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM, 5 MISCELLANEOUS WATER VALVE REPAIR/REPLACEMENT, PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, VILLAGE DECORATIVE LIGHTING AND STREET LIGHTING DISTRICT ASSESSMENT FUND 7 (GRAND AVENUE) PROJECT NO. 6608, 5019, 6001, 4016. 8 9 10 11 12 j3 Assessment Fund (Grand Avenue), Project No. 6608, 5019, 6001,4016; and 14 WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, 15 equipment, transportation, and other expenses necessary or incidental to the Northwest Quadrant Storm Drain Improvement Program, Village Decorative Lighting and Street Lighting 17 District Assessment Fund (Grand Avenue), Project No. 6608, 5019, 6001, 4016, have been 18 prepared and are on file in the Public Works Department of the City of Carlsbad and are 2Q incorporated herein by reference; and 21 WHEREAS, funding for said project has been appropriated from the Gas Tax Funds, 22 Water-Capital Replacement Funds, General Fund, and Transportation Operating Budget to cover all project costs and is sufficient; and WHEREAS, staff is requesting an appropriation of $62,500 for the Street Lighting District Assessment Fund to pay for street light conduit and wire replacement. 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, 2 California, as follows: 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That the plans, specifications and contract documents for the Northwest Quadrant Storm Drain Improvement Program, Village Decorative Lighting and Street Lighting District Assessment Fund (Grand Avenue), Project No. 6608, 5019,6001, 4016, are on file in the 3 4 5 6 7 g Public Works Department of the City of Carlsbad and are hereby approved. 9 3. That the Administrative Services Director is authorized to appropriate $62,500 10 from the Street Lighting District Assessment Fund to pay for the street light conduit and wire replacement. 4. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publish, in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the Northwest Quadrant Storm Drain Improvement Program, Village Decorative Lighting and Street Lighting 11 12 13 14 15 15 District Assessment Fund (Grand Avenue), Project No. 6608, 5019, 6001, 4016, in accordance 17 with the plans, specifications, and contract documents referred to herein. // // // // 18 19 20 21 22 23 // 24 // 25 26 27 28 // // 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Joint Special Meeting ofthe Carlsbad City Council and Carlsbad Municipal Water District Board of Directors, held on the 18*^ day of November, 2014, by the following vote to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Wood, Schumacher, Blackburn.
