2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE GRANT OF AN EASEMENT AT
STATION 3 (APN 208-010-38 & 208-010-42) TO SAN DIEGO GAS
4 AND ELECTRIC FOR A RIGHT-OF-WAY EASEMENT FOR ELECTRIC
FACILITIES WITH RIGHT OF INGRESS AND EGRESS OVER
5 EASEMENT.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has determined it is necessary,
desirable, and in the public interest for San Diego Gas and Electric Company (SDG&E) to install,
periodically inspect, and maintain electric facilities to provide service to its customers; and

JQ WHEREAS, the Fire Station No. 3 project requires electrical service; and
11 WHEREAS, proposed electric facilities are to be located on property that is owned by the
City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, SDG&E has requested a grant of easement at said Fire Station No. 3 property
for the purpose of constructing and maintaining: (1) underground electric facilities for the
purpose of transmission and distribution of electricity, (2) underground communication

17 facilities, together with the right of ingress and egress over the easement; and
18 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has determined it to be in the public interest to grant an
right-of-way easement at the Fire Station No 3 to per the attached SDG&E construction plans
(Exhibit 4); and
WHEREAS, upon execution ofthe easement by the City Manager, it will be released to
SDG&E for recordation with the San Diego County Recorder and provide the City of Carlsbad

24 Clerk's Office with a conformed copy; and
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows that:

2. That the City Manager is authorized to grant the easement with SDG&E.

of Carlsbad on the 27th day of January 2015, by the following vote to wit:
