2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING OUT OF STATE TRAVEL FOR THE
VOLUNTEER SERVICES COORDINATOR TO ATTEND THE
4 VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATION CONFERENCE IN BROOKLYN PARK,
MINNESOTA. MAY 13-15. 2015.

7 services, the city's volunteer services coordinator routinely attends trainings and job related
8 conferences for learning and volunteer program enhancement purposes; and

14 Administration Conference which will be held out of state in May, 2015 and requests
15 authorization from the City Council to attend said out of state conference; and
WHEREAS, well-trained and knowledgeable staff for administration of the
volunteer services supports both the organizational values (innovation and excellence) and the
community values (small town feel, connectedness, and community services).
WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been approved in the FY 2014-15 city budget to
cover the costs for the volunteer services coordinator to attend the annual Volunteer
Administration Conference in Minnesota in May, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the volunteer services coordinator desires to attend the Volunteer

20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
21 California as follows
22 1. That the above recitations are true and correct

27 funds for said travel

2. That out of state travel is hereby authorized in accordance with city
policy, for the volunteer services (community) coordinator to attend the May 13-15, 2015
Conference on Volunteer Administration in Minnesota using previously approved and budgeted
