RESOLUTION NO. 2015-057
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF GAS TAX
FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $545,000 FOR THE TAMARACK AVE
AND CARLSBAD BLVD PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

7 WHEREAS, an appropriation of gas tax funds in the amount of $455,000 for the
8 Tamarack Ave and Carlsbad Blvd Pedestrian Improvement Project was approved in the Fiscal
9 Year 2014-15 Capital Improvement Program; and

WHEREAS, the scope of the current project has been expanded to complete a more
comprehensive neighborhood approach to the existing pedestrian improvements; and
WHEREAS, additional funding in the amount of $545,000 from the Gas Tax Fund is being
requested at this time to bring the total project budget to $1,000,000; and
WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds available in the Gas Tax Fund to support the
increased scope of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, as
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The Administrative Services Director is authorized to appropriate $545,000 to
the Gas Tax Fund for the Tamarack Ave and Carlsbad Blvd Pedestrian Improvement Project.

the City of Carlsbad on the lOth day of March, 2015, by the following vote to wit:
