A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING OUT OF STATE TRAVEL FOR THE
BUSINESS INTELLIGENECE MANAGER TO ATTEND THE GARTNER
4 BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & ANALYTICS AND DATA MANAGEMENT
SUMMITS

g WHEREAS, the City Council concurs that it is in the public interest to authorize out-of-
7 state travel for the Business Intelligence Manager to attend Gartner's Business Intelligence &
8 Analytics and Data Management Summits in Las Vegas, Nevada; and
WHEREAS, these summits provide important information on business intelligence and
data management and how these methodologies can be leveraged to deliver the highest
business value and impact to the city organization; and

13 WHEREAS, the costs associated with this training and travel are covered by funds
14 available in the Information Technology fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows that:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized in accordance with City policy, for the
20 Business Intelligence Manager to attend Gartner's Business Intelligence & Analytics and
21 Data Management Summits in Las Vegas, Nevada, March 30-April 1, 2015.
